England Beach Soccer U16 Talent Pathway team celebrated victory in Porto Portugal taking Gold.

The sun-soaked sands of Porto witnessed something special: a squad of young Lions who didn’t just compete, they conquered. England Beach Soccer’s U16 Talent Pathway team stormed to victory at the prestigious Madjer International Cup, going undefeated and bringing home gold, glory, and a glimpse into the future of our national program. England U16 were congratulated by former Manchester United and Portugal legend Nani on their brilliant performances on the sand.

From junior hopeful to U16 champion, Oliver Flood has lived every chapter of the England Beach Soccer youth journey, and written his name into each one with silverware and standout leadership. Calm, composed, and fiercely driven, Oli didn’t just lift the trophy—he lifted the standards.

At age 7, Ashton Cox stepped onto the sand for his first-ever beach soccer tournament—and walked away with the MVP. Eight years later, he’s done it again. But this time, it’s on the international stage… and the award came from Madjer himself—World Cup winner and one of the greatest to ever play the game.
Not only did Ashton lead England U16 to gold at the Madjer Saraiva Cup, he claimed Top Scorer and MVP—again. From Isle of Wight beginnings to global recognition, Ashton’s journey is proof that belief, grit, and legacy-building start young.
