Cornwall FA Hosts Inaugural Youth Beach Soccer Tournament....

The Cornwall FA recently celebrated a significant milestone by hosting its first-ever mixed Beach Soccer Tournament at Perranporth Beach. This two-day event featured competitions for Girls U11s and U13s, as well as Mixed U11s, U13s, and U15s, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of young players from across Cornwall.

The tournament was a resounding success, with participants, coaches, parents, and officials all praising the event’s organization and atmosphere. Cornwall FA CEO, Danni Peel, expressed her pride in the team’s efforts, stating, “For our first trial of running mixed beach soccer, I couldn’t be prouder of our team and volunteers who made the event a massive success. We can’t wait to launch our Beach Soccer Leagues and Festivals from spring/summer 2025.”

Luke Kerr of England Beach Soccer, echoed this sentiment, noting, “It’s fantastic to see Cornwall FA embracing beach soccer and utilizing its beautiful coastal beaches to provide opportunities for young players to develop their skills in a fun and dynamic environment. We look forward to supporting their future initiatives and helping to grow the sport across the country through county FA’s developing player pathways, referees courses, and coach education.”
