England Beach Soccer Association signs memorandum of understanding with The FA London, UK — 10 12 2025 The England Beach Soccer Association ( EBSA ) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with The Football Association ( The FA ). This agreement will assist EBSA in helping to grow Beach Soccer at all levels. EBSA will introduce in 2026 a new tiered pathway from county-level competition and club development through to international representation. This pathway will be open to players, coaches, and officials, and will be fully aligned with County FA requirements. It will also support the continued delivery of England representative teams in Beach Soccer Worldwide and FIFA events. “Our commitment is to ensure Beach Soccer is played in a safe, inclusive, and professionally managed environment,” said Luke Kerr on behalf of the Board of Directors. “This agreement reinforces our dedication to delivering structured opportunities for participation and progression, while upholding FIFA’s rules and regulations.” EBSA will continue to work closely with Beach Soccer Worldwide to promote the sport not only within European leagues but on a global scale. “This acknowledgement is deeply meaningful to us,” said the EBSA Board of Directors. “It validates Beach Soccer as a credible alternative to traditional football and futsal whether in the off season or as a standalone pathway for coaches, players, and officials.” As part of this agreement, EBSA will help deliver on participation, development, and international impact. Molly’s exceptional career achievements include being voted World Player of the Year , winning multiple European titles , and earning a silver medal at the World Beach Games . Her unparalleled experience as both a player and coach underscores her commitment to elevating women’s beach soccer on the global stage. To ensure the team's continued success, Molly will be supported by an outstanding management team: Becky Barron-Clark  as Assistant Coach . Matthew Hiscock , an International Strength and Conditioning Practitioner (aISCPm)  and owner of Project: Athletic, as the Strength and Conditioning Coach . Exciting News from Our Beach Soccer Partnership with England Beach Soccer – CPD and Summer Series Coming in 2025 Cornwall FA is delighted to share exciting updates on our partnership with England Beach Soccer as we continue to enhance the growth and development of beach soccer in Cornwall. Following the success of last year's Cornwall FA Beach Soccer Tournament at Perranporth Beach, we are taking the sport to the next level with the launch of the Cornwall FA x England Beach Soccer Summer Series. This summer, we’ll be delivering a range of exciting beach soccer events across Cornwall, kicking off with a Beach Soccer CPD Event for Coaches and Referees. Taking place on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th May at Porthmeor Beach, this event will provide an opportunity for referees, coaches, and those interested in getting involved to learn from England Beach Soccer’s expert coaches and referees. This CPD event will mark the beginning of an incredible summer of beach soccer development and competition. Beach Soccer CPD for Coaches and Referees The Summer Series will start with a Beach Soccer CPD Event for Coaches and Referees at Porthmeor Beach on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th May. England Beach Soccer’s U16 Talent Pathway team stormed to victory at the prestigious Madjer International Cup, going undefeated and bringing home gold, glory, and a glimpse into the future of our national program. England U16 were congratulated by former Manchester United and Portugal legend Nani on their brilliant performances on the sand. FULL CIRCLE MOMENT FOR ASHTON COX At age 7, Ashton Cox stepped onto the sand for his first-ever beach soccer tournament—and walked away with the MVP. Eight years later, he’s done it again. But this time, it’s on the international stage… and the award came from Madjer himself—World Cup winner and one of the greatest to ever play the game. Not only did Ashton lead England U16 to gold at the Madjer Saraiva Cup, he claimed Top Scorer and MVP—again. From Isle of Wight beginnings to global recognition, Ashton’s journey is proof that belief, grit, and legacy-building start young.

England Beach Soccer: Building Legacy on the Sand in 2025 2025 was a landmark year for England Beach Soccer. From grassroots pathways to international triumphs, our community came together to prove that the sport is more than a game it’s a movement. Across 19 events in 10 locations , over 11,400 participants  joined us on the sand. National championships showcased talent from ages 6 to 18, while our safeguarding-first approach ensured every child, parent, and coach felt safe, supported, and inspired. Youth Pathways Champions of Tomorrow Our youth development program continues to shine. More than 9,000 young players  engaged in pathway events, with the England U16 squad crowned champions in Porto , winning all seven matches. Eight of those gold medalists began their journey as Under-8s, a powerful testament to the strength of homegrown talent. Growing the Game in Schools Beach soccer is now part of the curriculum in four pilot schools , with 48 schools engaged nationwide . Students are learning teamwork, resilience, and joy through the sport, laying foundations for lifelong participation. Coaches, Referees & Inclusion We trained 32 coaches  and 23 referees , all certified in safeguarding and first aid. Development hubs in Cornwall, Sussex, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, and Devon are ensuring local growth. With 46% female participation  and rising representation from underrepresented communities, inclusivity is at the heart of our mission. International & Club Success Our women’s national team celebrated their first victory against Belgium, while IOW Beach Soccer Club secured 4th place in Europe . On the men’s side, Portsmouth Beach Soccer made history as the first English team to compete at the World Club Cup . Sustainability & Partnerships Every event in 2025 included a community beach clean , and our zero plastics policy  is setting new standards for eco-friendly sport. With 14 commercial partners  and 8 delivery partners , including County FAs and universities, we’re building a strong foundation for long-term growth. Looking Ahead to 2026 The journey continues.
